Bay Cities Metal Products is a fast-growing sheet metal manufacturer currently seeking a hardworking individual who can support the team and office. We are looking for a custodian and/or janitor. While we are willing to provide training to the right candidate, you should have at least six months of prior janitor or cleaning experience and be familiar with various cleaning products, techniques, and basic equipment.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Collect and empty trash cans.
• Dusting all surfaces (walls, furniture, and desks).
• Cleaning and restocking restrooms and janitor closet.
• Mop, sweep, scrub, vacuum.
• Be able to lift at least 25 pounds.
• Perform routine maintenace and cleaning activities.
• Follow procedures for the use of cleaners and powered machinery to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
• Disinfect touch points.
• Maintain and follow procedures for cleaning the offices, restrooms, break-rooms, kitchens, reception, production area, and shipping area.
• Notifies managers regarding the need for repairs or additions to building operating systems.
• Ad-hoc duties as needed and assigned by manager or supervisor.

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of standard cleaning methods and procedures.
• Ability to stand, walk, and bend during work hours.
• Ability to perform repetitive motion for long periods of time.
• Experience with using cleaning equipment, including vacuum cleaners, cleaning solutions, and etc.
• Knowledge of occupational hazard safety rules.
• Communication skills.
• Ability to lift objects, climb ladders, and work at particular heights.

Schedule:

• 5 days a week - full time
• 12:30PM - 9:00PM or 8-hour shift

Pay:

• $17.50 - $20.00
